THE ROAD TO FULL MEMBERSHIP

Step 1. Contact our club secretary to register your interest. Please be aware that all visitors and applicants for membership must sign a declaration stating that they are not prohibited by law from taking up shooting and holding a firearms certificate. This requirement applies to everyone without exception and will be checked by the Police Scotland before you will be able to shoot.

Step 2. Once Police Scotland have approved your signed declaration, you will start your 4 session visitation period. During this time, you will get a taste of the various disciplines we offer and will shoot with one of the club qualified coaches.

Step 3. In accordance with Home Office guidelines, your membership will be proposed and seconded by full members before serving a six month probationary period.

Step 4. Your six month probationary period will be reviewed and full membership will be offered (this decision will be made by our committee).

Step 5. You've made it! You are now an official member of Wishaw and District SAC.

COST

Potential members can visit the club on 4 occasions prior to applying for membership, however, if you wish to continue, you must either join the club or complete a one year respite period before reapplying for membership. This is in compliance with Home Office guidelines.

During each visit you will be required to pay £10.00, which will cover the cost of ammunition you will use throughout your 4 visits. Club equipment such as shooting jackets, slings, scopes and firearms are available to be used during your visits and during your six month probationary membership at no extra cost. Please be aware membership is not guaranteed after your visitation period.
